Whimsical: Odd or fantastic in appearance; quaintly devised; lightly fanciful; capricious.

Localities: Particular places, spots or neighborhoods or locations.

The combination of these two words inspired the name of this series of images - the unique art prints that are called Whimsicalities.

Whimiscalities perfectly describes these lively and whimsical representations of different cities and towns. Using digital photography, I capture the images that appeal to me - whether it be shops, lovely homes, interesting sights, or quirky things that are peculiar to that locality.

The captured images are then manipulated digitally on the computer to achieve the "look and feel" that I want for that particular representation.

Whimsicalities are not to be a "real-life" representation of each locality, but rather a playful and fanciful glimpse into the delightful sights you will find there.

Churches always feature prominently in Whimsicalities prints. A small reminder of a very big God, and that He should always come first in our lives.
