Photographer Available as Second Shooter

Many photographers frequently find themselves wishing they could be in more than one place at one time! If that is you, then perhaps what you need is a photographer to be your "Second Shooter".

WHAT:
I am available to work as a second shooter for weddings and other events.

WHEN:
Availability will vary, but I am available most of the time.

WHERE:
I will be in any given location for anywhere from 3 months to a year.

My current (as of 10/01/2009) availability is in the Raleigh-Durham area.

WHY:
I am traveling with my husband while he travels for his job.

I am not "putting down roots" anywhere, but would like to work with other photographers while traveling.

I am not interested in developing relationships with any new clients, and therefore, would not be in competition with you for your clients, but rather, would be able to devote my time to assisting you in the best way I can.

Other Information:

I have all my own equipment, and am all digital. I am very experienced with Photoshop, and can assist you with post-processing if needed.

PLEASE NOTE: I will go through all the images I shoot, cull out any "bad" images, such as blurry, blown-out or too dark; will color balance anything that needs it, and will burn all the final images to disk and have them turned around to you within 48 hours. This will relieve you from having to spend valuable time going through the images.

I will do nothing else to the images unless requested; this leaves all of the images in original format for you to post-process according to your own style. I do not copyright mark any images (they are yours).

There are no exceptions to this workflow, and it is covered in my contract. I WILL NOT turn over CF cards straight out of the camera. I am responsible for the quality of the images that I shoot and give to you and I want you to get the best images possible from me.

I WILL NOT keep a copy of the images once they are turned over to you and you have let me know that you have them safely backed up. ALL images will be deleted from my hard drive at that point.

Equipment:

Canon 40D
Canon 30D
A fairly wide variety of lenses, flashes and other necessary equipment.
I DO NOT have portable lights.

FEES AND CONTRACTS
Fee is $50.00 per hour. If you would need me for an all day shoot, I am open to negotiating one fee for the day.

I do have a "Second Shooter" contract to clarify issues of work for hire, copyright, liability and responsiblities. I will be happy to email a copy of this contract upon request.
